We have an exciting opportunity to join our friendly and supportive team on a 12-month fixed-term basis, covering parental leave. This role would suit a senior payroll expert looking to step into a leadership position to advance their skillset.As the Payroll Team Leader, you will manage payroll for LIC and its subsidiaries, leading a dedicated team of two Senior Payroll Officers. This role also offers the chance to be involved in exciting business projects, providing you with valuable experience that will help you further grow your career in payroll.Key Responsibilities include:Lead the payroll team to deliver effective payroll support, ensuring continual improvement of policies and processes.Maintain and enhance the payroll framework to ensure compliance with relevant employment and payroll-related legislation.Collaborate with the Technology team to optimise resources and ensure our systems meet business and legislative needs.Stay current with applicable legislation and contractual requirements, working with business partners on changes impacting payments, deductions, holidays, leave calculations, and other HR data.Produce monthly KPI reports on payroll progress, targets, and risks to the Shared Services Manager.About You:Senior payroll experience preferred.Current operational knowledge of payroll-related legislation, such as the Employment Relations Act 2000, Holidays Act 2003, Parental Leave and Employment Protection Act 1987, and employment-related tax law.Working knowledge of payroll system functionality/processes and a comprehensive understanding of payroll data - experience with SAP would be an advantage.Proven ability to initiate business process improvements and implement efficiencies and enhancements.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.What's in it for you:In addition to a competitive salary, the position offers a flexible environment that supports hybrid working, with the team coming together in the office a couple of days a week.Free onsite parking is available at our Hamilton office, which is located in a park-like setting with tennis and volleyball courts, a pool, and an onsite café.If you are looking for an opportunity to step-up into a rewarding role, click apply to submit your application online. #J-18808-Ljbffr
