Payroll Systems Specialist at Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand Te Matau a Maui Hawke's Bay, Hawkes Bay Success is not the work of one, but the work of many.Permanent, Full-time80 hours per fortnight (1.0 FTE)Are you a payroll or information management professional looking for a challenge in a new and dynamic environment? This is an exciting opportunity to join Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora Te Matau a Maui as a Payroll Systems Specialist.As a vital part of the Payroll & People and Communications team, you will work closely with HR and stakeholders to deliver a professional, accurate and efficient payroll service. Join our team and play a crucial role in the health system at a local level.We have a vacancy for someone who is passionate and keen to work in a complex environment, who can appreciate that payroll is not just pushing buttons, using AMS Leader payroll systems.As a Payroll Systems Specialist, you will be responsible for coordinating and implementing new collective agreements. You will maintain and audit security access to payroll systems and provide training to managers.Key responsibilities include:Provides a senior level of technical and functional support and advice for payroll applications.Act as a subject matter expert for all payroll applications.Train managers throughout the organisation to use AMS Actor and Kiosk. Provide ongoing supportTest, sign off and Implement system upgrades from AMS.Ensure AMS system users have correct accessLiaise with system vendor for issue resolutionEnsure payroll system is compliant with the Holidays Act 2003Actively seek to improve payroll processesWith relevant previous experience dealing with complex systems and processes you will be able to demonstrate a high degree of accuracy in your work, excellent processing skills and an eye for process improvement. You communicate effectively and are most comfortable in hardworking, collaborative teams. You take the initiative to do the things that need doing, while managing multiple priorities.Our ideal candidate for this role will:Be highly organised whilst working in a fast-paced environmentDemonstrate strong attention to detail and high-quality performanceHave the ability to analyse data and problem solveWork well independently yet also be an active contributor within the wider teamBe highly skilled in the use of the Microsoft Office SuiteExperience in a high-volume payroll position with an understanding of relevant employment legislation and both individual and collective agreements is also an essential requirement.Located in the sunny Hawkes Bay we live in pure paradise.
