Payroll Officer Temp

Payroll temp needed to start in the new year, based in Silverdale to cover till the role is filled permanently.

Due to a resignation, we are looking for an experienced Payroll temp to step in and cover until the role is filled permanently. Start date: 6 Jan 2025. This is a temporary assignment which has the opportunity to go permanent – dependent on performance and team fit.
The main purpose of this role is to provide the accurate and timely end to end payroll function, including:
Processing weekly wages and monthly salaries for 90 staffPayroll ReportingManagement of payroll records; leave, kiwisaver, deductions, allowances, termination paymentsHandling payroll enquiriesCreating and maintaining new employee recordsIR filing; PAYETo be successful you must have:
Minimum 5 years payroll experienceUp to date knowledge of NZ payroll legislation and complianceAccuracy with strong attention to detailExcellent computer skills in Microsoft Office and knowledge of Greentree software is a definite advantageExcellent communication - both spoken and writtenWe are looking for someone who is self-managing, positive and proactive. You need to have initiative, be confidential, and enjoy working as part of the wider finance team.
