Napier City Council – Napier City, North IslandDue to internal development, Napier City Council has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Payroll Officer to join our growing team in ensuring the accurate and efficient processing of payroll for our employees.Key responsibilities:Preparing, accurately processing and maintaining the weekly and fortnightly pay runs.Support stakeholders with the new payroll system implementation.Ensure council policy and legislative obligations are met.Contribute to the ongoing development of a high performing and competent team.Key requirements:5-6 years previous payroll experience, or similar relevant experience.Thorough knowledge of relevant employment legislation.High standard of interpersonal, oral and communication skills.An understanding and commitment to customer service.Highly resilient and embracing of change.If you're looking for your next step, have a passion for payroll, and love the challenge of implementing new systems and processes, we want to hear from you!
