This is mahi that will improve the health and well-being of everyone in Aotearoa, and we've got an opportunity for you to be part of it…Te whiwhinga mahi | The OpportunityThe Payroll Manager will be part of the network of district Payroll Managers and will operationally contribute to the goals of the national Payroll Leadership Team and the delivery of national and local payroll objectives.The primary purpose of the role is to:Provide leadership, expert advice on all payroll matters, and efficient and effective day-to-day operationalmanagement of the Payroll TeamExperience (in the range of 10+ years) in payroll roles, including at least 5 years in people leadership roles in large complex organisationsHave strong understanding of the interpretation and application of the Holidays Act 2003, other employment legislation, and relevant HR practices.Possess a methodical sense of problem-solving, data-driven decisionmaking skills, and patience.Proficiency in the use of relevant data analysis and reporting tools such as MS Visio, Excel, Word, and Power BI or other data handling applications.Understands the configuration of AMS system (preferred) and rostering systems.Understands the Official Information Act and its application to data collection, sharing, storage and securityA commitment to being a good Te Tiriti partner in all your actions.
