Our client is seeking a payroll administrator with a solid background in payroll, strong systems expertise, and excellent communication abilities.
This role is part-time, roughly 32 hours per week but can be flexible for the right candidate; however, some days are required due to payroll timings.
This well-established Christchurch business, with a long-standing presence in the community, is an ideal choice of employer for someone who is outgoing, driven, and has great attention to detail.Key Responsibilities:Processing end-to-end fortnightly payroll for up to 350 employeesMaintain payroll systems and ensure data integrity and compliance with relevant legislation and regulationsReconcile payroll-related accounts and provide reports to senior management as requiredEnsure compliance with PAYE, RWT, and other payroll-related requirementsBalance sheet reconciliations of all payroll-related accounts including payroll clearing and leave balancesReconciliation of non-payroll-related accounts as directed by the CFOManage employee queries and provide guidance on payroll-related mattersIdentify and implement continuous improvements in payroll processesStay updated with legislative changes and ensure all payroll practices comply with current lawsAbout you:End-to-end payroll experience is necessary, within a New Zealand entity, with at least 2-3 years payroll experienceExperience with Datacom is preferredGreat attention to detailStrong knowledge of various payroll systemsStrong written and verbal communication skillsPlease note that all applications are reviewed but only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
