As a Paving Engineer, this role will enable the Paving crew into best practices by ensuring the team is equipped to perform to a high standard and to address technical and logistical challenges in the daily operations of the business.Reporting to the Department manager, you will be a strong communicator with a great level of attention to detail. Capitalising on opportunities whilst ensuring success in your planning process.In addition to the above you will:Provide management, coordination, and supervision of assigned asphalt paving works, undertaken by our own staff or subcontractorsEnsure appropriate resources are allocated to the job in the most efficient wayShow initiative and work with the team to develop and implement engineered solutions in the delivery of the contracted worksDevelop and implement control measures to minimise risk to health and safety for workers and members of the publicEnsure that all work is performed in accordance with the resource consents and closed-out to specified requirementsEnsure that the environmental risks are identified and controlled through documented processes and apply positive process change and SOP's.Company vehicle provided in this positionMedical insurance for you and your whanau.Life insurance from day one.KiwiSaver employer contributions after service milestones up to 7%.Parental leave top-up payment with additional return to work support.Family scholarships.
