Our NZSki community has been growing since 1947 and continues to offer the best experience for our crew, locals, and guests alike. Everyone at Coronet Peak, The Remarkables and Mt Hutt cares for the mountains and shares a passion for snowsports and the surrounding regions. Our success is due to our awesome customer service, first-class facilities, majestic scenery, and wild terrain.
Our staff are an important part of our mountain's personalities and help us deliver on our purpose. Our ski patrollers' priority is to ensure a safe and enjoyable ski area environment for all guests and staff by maintaining the highest possible standards of service, safety and professionalism.
About the Role Manage trail open and closures and ensure trails are signposted accordinglyAssist with avalanche controlMonitor weather and changes in conditions and maintain recordsAdminister first aid as requiredCoordinate patient evacuation from the ski area to the medical centreAbout You Previous experience is considered a definite advantage and supporting references must be providedThe ability to quickly build a rapport with all guests and staff, coupled with strong teamwork skillsApplicants must be comfortable working in an alpine environment in a variety of weather conditionsGood knowledge of ski area snow conditions, and the ability to ski or snowboard expertly in all-weather on all terrainA commitment to ongoing training and development throughout the seasonAn understanding that employment is subject to the vagaries of the weather and the hours of work cannot be guaranteedSkills and Qualifications Qualifications in Pre-hospital Emergency CareMust be supported by attendance at a 5-day scenario-based courseAvalanche Safety Stage 1 is compulsoryAs Kaitiaki of the mountains we have an enduring commitment to our environment, people, and communities to ensure they benefit from our presence and as proud supporters of Winter Pride we've pledged to continue to provide a working environment that embraces and values diversity and inclusion.
