Through integration and collaboration, we're building a health system focused on partnership, equity, sustainability, whanau-centred care, and excellence.About the RoleThis role will lead the Patient Enquiries / Interpreter services to provide confidential advice, support, and information on health service-related matters, acting as a point of contact for patients' families / whanau and carers, to support the coordination of Interpreter coordinators.ResponsibilitiesCoordinate and facilitate appropriate information release to patients, ACC, police, and external agencies within the Privacy Code and other relevant legislation.Ensure recruitment and training expenditure stays within budget.Develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Ensure all day-to-day management and administration requirements are undertaken in a timely and effective manner.Deal with requests for information from patients, the police, and other agencies.Ensure all policies and procedures are being followed.About the Team / Service / LocationHealth New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora - Southern has the largest geographical coverage of all New Zealand regions, providing services to 350,000 people in diverse communities.

You must be comfortable interacting with a variety of people at all levels and managing multiple issues simultaneously.Ideally, you will also bring the following skills and experience :Three or more years of previous experience in a busy administrator role.A certificate in Business Administration level 4 or equivalent.Experience working in a multicultural work environment.Experience managing resources, including people and finances.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Well organized, with good attention to detail.Ability to motivate staff to deliver and meet organizational goals.Competency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth.Experience in projects / initiatives that give effect to Te Tiriti principles and frameworks, particularly in healthcare settings.Our Commitment to Equity, Diversity, and InclusionWe want to see the real you in your application and welcome the real you on board if you come and work with us.
