Pastry Cook

Being an iconic business in Invercargill Ascot Food Group Limited has been in a successful run for over 20 years and it owns several food outlets and a catering operation which provides authentic Chinese meals with a complement of choices to happy customers residing in Invercargill.   Now we are looking for an experienced Pastry Cook to join our friendly and diverse team. You will be paid an hourly rate of $28-30 commensurate with your experience and skill level. You will be expected to work in our store located in Invercargill. This role will be a permanent position and will be required to work on a roster for 30-40 hours each week on the days of Tuesday to Sunday.   Responsibilities: Create pastries and baked goods   Develop new receipes to feature on the menu   Accepts and prepares special orders for the catering function   Adheres to the service and quality standards and follow proper safety hygiene and sanitisation practices   Maintain inventory records to ensure there is adequate level of stock in vegetables and meat processing   Ensure all the facilities and equipment are kept in good working order   Perform any other reasonable duties as required by the employer from time to time The successful candidate must have: A minimum of two years relevant experience   Ability to work under pressure and complete orders in time   Positive attitude and passionate about baking   Fit and healthy   Good work ethics   Ability to work in harmony as part of a team If you are interested in this role apply with your CV and cover letter.    Applicants for this position should be NZ Citizens/Resident Visa holders or have a valid work visa.
