PASTRY CHEF DE PARTIE - CENTRAL AUCKLANDAre you a pastry chef that has experience with baking, piping, pastries and delectable sweets? We are looking for a new full time Pastry Chef to join our established and professional team in a modern commercial kitchen. About the Role: As our Pastry Chef de Partie, you report to the Executive Pastry Chef to meet briefs and deliver client satisfaction.
You will be involved in prepping and presenting all components of unique cakes, slices, plated desserts and sweet canapes.
The shift pattern for this role includes occasional weekend work, some night events with rotating shifts during the week, so flexibility is a must. Duties will include: Working with the Executive Pastry Chef and pastry team to deliver high quality pastries, cakes and sweets according to our pricing models across the sites. Helping with Menu development and inventory management. Supporting the delivery of our vision; to ensure we achieve environmental sustainability through best practices. Following guidelines according to dietary requirements and allergies. About you: You'll be bringing at least 5 years' experience in a similar role.
You are committed to working safely, in a team within the pastry section of the kitchen, ready to deliver beautiful, delicious and enticing sweets and pastries for a variety of events including producing at scale for large private functions. Some work takes place within our HQ kitchen, and there is work across various event sites, so you need to work well in a team and have proven experience at thriving in different environments.
You are highly organized, detail oriented and have great communication skills. You are consistent and creative in your performance, keeping up to date with local and international food trends.
