Job Title: Pastry and Bakery Chef

Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Pastry and Bakery Chef to join our dynamic team in Auckland. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, baking, and decorating a wide range of baked goods, while ensuring high standards of quality and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

Experience & Qualifications:
A minimum of 5 years of trade experience in a hotel environment, high-quality bakery, café, or equivalent is strongly preferred
Strong knowledge of HACCP and general health & safety practices in the workplace is essential
Key Responsibilities:
1. Baking & Pastry Production:Prepare, bake, and decorate a wide variety of baked goods, including breads, pastries, cakes, and specialty desserts, while adhering to recipes and ensuring consistently high-quality results.
2. Inventory & Supplies Management:Monitor inventory levels, order ingredients and supplies as necessary, and ensure proper storage to maintain freshness and prevent waste.
3. Health & Safety Compliance:
Ensure that all food products are prepared in compliance with food safety regulations, including HACCP guidelines and general health and safety practices in the workplace.
4. Work Environment Management:
Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment. Regularly clean workstations, ovens, and baking equipment, ensuring compliance with all health and safety standards.
5. Team Collaboration:
Work closely with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of baked goods. Assist in training and mentoring junior kitchen staff to maintain consistent quality.
