This role may suit someone who already has experience as a technician, a trainee wanting to learn parts with a basic knowledge of some kind of mechanical sector (light or heavy), or an experienced technician wanting to become a manager.
We are flexible on experience and will discuss further in the interview process.
To apply for this role, you must: Have excellent communication skills Take pride in your work Be able to work to deadlines under pressure Have relevant experience as a parts specialist/manager or similar role - not essential, but a basic mechanical background would be beneficial.
Be good with computer systems, attention to detail, and data entry – experience with SAM Workshop software is a bonus.
This role would include: Ordering and inventory of parts Picking up and organizing freight Hours: 6:30am-5pm Monday-Friday (flexible hours will be discussed on a case-by-case basis).

AFT Workshop services and maintains AFT Contracting's fleet of trucks and machinery, and we are also beginning to do some outwork in the Gisborne region.
AFT Contracting has a fleet of 10 logging trucks, 11 bulk trucks, 4 transporters, 1 Forestry Crew, and multiple roading crews based throughout the Gisborne region with long-term secure contracts.
Currently, AFT Workshop has 14 workshop staff consisting of Engineers, Diesel Mechanics, Hydraulic Hose Technicians, Auto Electricians, Tyre Fitters, Panel Beaters/Painters, Service Admin, and Apprentices.
