The Banks Peninsula Conservation Trust (BPCT) is a non-profit organisation that works with landowners, agencies, donors, and the wider community to promote conservation and enhancement of indigenous biodiversity and sustainable land management across 115,000 hectares of Banks Peninsula.
In 2003, the Minister of Conservation recognised BPCT as a trusted thought and operational leader in biodiversity by granting the organisation covenanting authority status.
With a team of over thirty, the Trust is the first non-government organisation to place covenants on land titles since the QEII National Trust began over 40 years ago and is highly regarded as a successful, community-driven organisation in conservation and biodiversity protection.

Reporting to the General Manager , you will enable the Trust to achieve an enduring legacy by successfully generating short, medium, and long-term income through effective donor stewardship and by securing financial support from partners.
You will be responsible for identifying and cultivating new donor prospects and maintaining existing donor partnerships through excellent relationship building.
You will also manage and analyze the donor database and be responsible for fundraising communications.
To be successful in this role , you will demonstrate previous experience leading effective income-generating activities with major donors, including individuals and corporates, along with bequests.
Your aptitude for nurturing and sustaining relationships through your strong interpersonal skills and self-directed approach will be key to your success.
As someone who relishes the challenge of qualifying donor prospects, you will have a strategic, long-term understanding of relevant fundraising principles and experience managing donor database systems.
An appreciation of Banks Peninsula and relevant donor networks is advantageous.
