Building and maintaining positive community partnerships is key to ensuring Council's success in delivering to the people of Tasman.
About the role:
In this role you will deliver environmental education and behavioural change programmes with regard to climate change, air quality and water conservation and quality. As a natural communicator, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining collaborative relationships with the community. You will come to us with a range of relevant experience in natural or physical sciences, education and/or community development.
A good understanding of local government and its obligations with regard to community relationships and environmental education would be an advantage in this role. You will be relied upon to partner and support meaningful community relationships by providing events and programmes to deliver environmental education.
This role is 15 hours per week, fixed term for 14 months. Ideally, you will have the confidence and connections to hit the ground running. Add to the mix your eye for detail, the ability to manage any number of projects at one time, and a desire to make a difference.
