Part-Time Medical Receptionist

MediCross Urgent Care and GP Clinic – New Plymouth, North Island
MediCross Urgent Care and GP Clinic provides caring and professional healthcare to the New Plymouth Community. We require a part-time receptionist who is available to work shift work between 8am and 8pm, including rostered weekends. This role is 20-32 hours per week.
This role is pivotal in the medical centre environment, and the successful candidate is responsible for delivering a first-class, front line reception service. As a Medical Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our patients, playing a crucial role in ensuring a positive experience from the moment they walk through our doors. We would love to hear from candidates with medical reception experience; however, we will consider all applicants.
What we are looking for:
Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail
Proficiency in Medtech Evolution is a plus
Compassionate attitude and a commitment to patient care
Key Responsibilities:
Greet patients warmly and assist with the check-in process
Manage phone calls, schedule appointments, and handle patient inquiries
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality
Collaborate with medical staff to ensure smooth clinic operations
Invoicing and receipting payments
