Part Time Healthcare Assistant - Tuarangi Aged Care Facility | Ashburton Hours - 0.4 FTE (16 hours a week) and 0.8 FTE (32 hours per week)

Salary - Starting from $58,100 to $68,309 per annum, based on the NZNO Nursing and Midwifery collective agreement

Healthcare Assistants are instrumental in providing care to our patients, and we currently have a part-time vacancy based in Tuarangi Home in Ashburton.
As a Healthcare Assistant, you will assist nursing staff with patient cares while maintaining a safe and clean work environment. You will enjoy working as part of a multidisciplinary team, have excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, a high level of confidentiality, and the ability to work well under pressure.
This role is primarily based in Tuarangi Home; however, at times you may be required to work in some of the other wards at Ashburton Hospital.
Tuarangi Home is a Residential Care facility that provides hospital-level and dementia care at both rest home and hospital levels.
Ashburton Hospital provides a range of inpatient health services; both acute and assessment treatment and rehabilitation.
Shifts:
Shift 1: This is a night shift on a 4-week revolving roster, with varying start times from 2240 to 0710.
Shift 2: This is a four-week revolving roster covering all shifts, with varying days of work.
Hours: Morning - 0645 to 1515 or varying short shifts within these hours; Afternoons - 1430 to 2300 or varying short shifts within these hours; Nights - 2240 to 0710.

Minimum Requirements:
Excellent interpersonal skills and teamwork
Knowledge of and a commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi
Previous experience working with people with dementia is advantageous, but not essential
A certificate in Health and Wellbeing (Level 3 or 4) or a willingness to work towards one
Ongoing training and development
