About the role:
Due to growth in the region, we currently have an exciting new opportunity for an outstanding health professional to join us in the role of Health Consultant. In this part-time autonomous role, you will be delivering first aid training and health screening services across the South Island, primarily based in Dunedin.
Our team is made up of health professionals from various disciplines: Nutritionists, Registered Nurses, Enrolled Nurses, Acupuncturists, Exercise Physiologists, ex-Paramedics, Dentists, etc.
Key responsibilities:
Undertaking health education in a group setting, including the delivery of First Aid and CPR courses and other programmes
Undertaking health monitoring and pre-employment medical testing including drug testing
Travel across the region to worksites, with the occasional night away
Data entry and other general administration
The role requires travel to worksites across the Dunedin region, or outside the region when providing cover to other regions, and therefore there is a requirement to occasionally stay overnight. Accommodation and a generous meal allowance are provided if overnight travel is required.
Minimum Requirements:
The right to work in New Zealand
A current New Zealand Driver's Licence
A tertiary health or sport and exercise-related qualification
A passion for teaching and preventative health care
The ability to deliver health education in a manner that is engaging and interactive, as well as previous experience in training/education
Ability to pass a New Zealand Police Vetting check
Strong computer literacy
Ability to work occasional Saturdays, do early starts and late finishes, and travel and stay overnight from time to time
