Part-Time Customer Service (10.5 Hours Per Week)

Details of the offer

Strong relationships are at the heart of what we do. You'll help the rural sector continue to prosper through the advice, product and service you provide them; and we'll provide you with a wide range of opportunities to develop skillsets and help you progress.

About the Role

This is a permanent part-time opportunity that would ideally suit a senior student (however all considered) to join our Gore team. Hours of work will be Saturdays - 8:00 am to 12:30 pm (4.5 hours) and an additional 6 hours during the week (timing to be negotiated with the successful applicant).

As one of our Outdoor Timber Specialists you will be:

Helping our customers with their product enquiries, taking them through options to ensure we deliver the best value for their project (able to be friendly and helpful).

Ensuring after sales processes are completed (attention to detail).

Assisting in the yard; preparing customer orders and ensuring stock levels are maintained and presented with pride (physical fitness appropriate for lifting timber will be needed).

Skills and Experience

While experience in customer service or farming may be an advantage, as full training will be provided , it is more important that you are able to demonstrate:

Self-motivation and reliability.

Honesty, integrity and a commitment to deliver what you promise.

A friendly, energetic and positive personality.

Physical fitness appropriate for lifting timber/posts with a commitment to safe work practices.

A willingness to be trained and learn new skills.

What's in it for you?

Learning opportunities.

Team discount on commencement.

As well as getting to work with great team mates who are committed to supporting each other and are recognised for their specialist knowledge.

About the Company

We're a family-owned company that's been operating for over 40 years in outdoor timber with our main goal of bringing value to the customer. From fence posts and accessories to farm buildings and furniture, we are very proudly Kiwi-owned and have built a solid reputation for providing high quality products for outdoor use.

We have purposely stuck to what we do best - being Outdoor Timber Specialists specialising in posts, poles, wire products, electric fencing, kitset farm buildings, treated sawn timber, treated plywood, outdoor furniture and a few important support products like cement, fasteners and tools.

Please note applicants must be legally entitled to work in New Zealand indefinitely and subject to a criminal convictions check.
