The Waipa District prides itself on its abundance of recreational land enjoyed by both locals and visitors. Taking care of it all are our Parks Operators. You will see our passionate team out and about tending flower beds, planting trees, mowing lawns, raking leaves, trimming bushes, maintaining our cemeteries and much more!
In a role like this, you get to see the results of your hard work making an impact in our community spaces - creating something for all to enjoy.
About The Role Right now, we have a great part-time opportunity available with our Cambridge Parks Team.
The position offers 24 hours per week, in a versatile role (involving all aspects of what we do!). While based in Cambridge, you will also support our Te Awamutu team every 2nd week (daily start and finish times will be in Cambridge, with a vehicle available for related travel during work hours).
There are great benefits on offer working with Waipa District Council and being part of a team that supports each other to get the job done. So, if you want to know more, get in touch!
About You The hard work and dedication of our Parks & Reserves team ensures that residents and visitors enjoy the beauty of this district all year round. Along with that, a good level of physical fitness and a strong safety-focus will be needed due to the nature of the role.
Previous experience in a similar role is ideal, but training and support is available to help you sharpen your skillset!
