Parks Maintenance Assistant / Handy Person

The RoleTimaru District Council is seeking a Parks Maintenance Assistant/Handyman to maintain and enhance the cleanliness, charm, and character of Timaru's historic town centre and wider district parks and reserves.In this role, you'll be assisting our Parks Maintenance Officer with routine cleaning, graffiti removal, and maintaining historic building materials.
You'll also help with contractors and community groups to ensure a consistently high standard of presentation.
Embrace the opportunity to enhance our community's environment through meticulous maintenance and proactive stakeholder engagement.We expect you to be physically able to perform various cleaning and maintenance tasks, including lifting and carrying loads of up to 23kg and working on hands and knees.

The hourly rate for this role is $27.80.
