Salary:
Administrative Support 2 (AS2) based on 40 hours per week: $19.94 - $24.26 per hour
Administrative Support 3 (AS3) based on 36.25 hours per week: $22.00 - $26.77 per hour

In addition to regular wages, regular Wage employees receive 11.2% in lieu of benefits and vacation leave:
• 5.2 percent of regular wage earnings instead of paid holidays
• 6 percent of regular wage earnings instead of annual vacation pay

In addition to the regular wages and the additional pay in lieu of benefits and vacation, regular wage employees are entitled to shift premium pay:
• $3.25 per hour for weekends and holidays
• $2.75 per hour for evenings

The Lakeland district is looking for motivated, courteous, hardworking individuals with exceptional customer service skills to fill the Seasonal District Support and Information Officers positions for the following parks:
The Information Officer (IO) duties include the day-to-day operations at the registration booth/concession. Responsibilities include providing exceptional front-line customer service while registering campers and delivering information around park activities, regulations, and nearby amenities. IOs are expected to provide a welcoming and inclusive environment for all visitors. Information Officers need strong time management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure.
The Seasonal District Support position assists the team responsible for running daily operations of the park facilities. This position's primary purpose is to provide front-line contact for Alberta Parks by providing excellent customer service and effective information delivery.
We are currently looking to hire:
• 7 Information Officers (IOs)
• 1 Seasonal District Support

As an Information Officer (AS2), duties include but are not limited to:
Administrative Duties
• Record necessary safety and accident information on reports and ensure they are delivered to the appropriate staff in a timely manner.
• Assist in the distribution of information-based communications such as posters and brochures throughout the park.
• Maintain knowledge of relevant recreational and tourist opportunities to respond to requests for information.
Business Operations
• Acquire understanding and ability to use the Shop.AlbertaParks.ca system for camper registration and payments.
• Ensure building security through effective opening and closing procedures.
• Responsible for inventory management and control.
Customer Service and Communication
• Provide exceptional customer service as the first point of contact for visitors.
• Strong communication skills when working with visitors and coworkers.
As the Seasonal District Support (AS3), primary duties include assisting with and performing AS2 duties in addition to some front-line administrative and supervisory tasks.
Qualifications Information Officer (AS2)
• High school diploma
• Experience with point of sales machines and customer service
Seasonal District Support (AS3)
• High School Diploma
• At least 1 year of supervisory or leadership experience and customer service experience
Additional requirements:
• English language proficiency
• Available to work weekends and evenings during the season
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office

Prior to employment, successful candidates will require proof of:
• Valid Criminal Record Check
• Valid Class 5 Driver's License
• Valid First Aid/CPR-C Certificate
