Always striving to provide social wellbeing opportunities to visitors and residents of our stunning region, we are seeking an Activity Planner to join our Parks and Facilities team to take the lead on developing, promoting, and maintaining a range of sports and recreational opportunities within our local region.
About this role | Ko tenei turanga mahi You will be responsible for preparing activity management plans, and planning and monitoring asset renewal and improvement work programmes across a broad portfolio. This may include:
Sportsgrounds
Community halls
Cemeteries
Toilets
Swimming pools
Campgrounds
From developing technical concepts and ideas, through to leading and supporting projects, liaising with our community, and delivering great outcomes for Nelson, this role has fantastic variety and will enable you to continue to build on your professional expertise.
About you | Ko nga pumanawa ou You will have asset management experience, preferably in a local government environment. Your demonstrated skills in planning and analysis, combined with your report writing, presentation, and relationship management skills will ensure your success. You will enjoy building great relationships and proactively collaborating with colleagues across the organisation. Knowledge of tikanga Maori and te reo Maori is also desirable.

The salary range for this position pro rata'd for the part-time hours is $55K to $59,519K p.a based on a 24-hour week, ($92,041 to $99,199 full-time equivalent).
