The Parks Unit within Christchurch City Council has a clear focus on helping Christchurch maintain the iconic Garden City image that makes it such a great place to live, work and visit. We are out there every day, ensuring our spectacular garden parks and inner city green spaces are maintained to a high standard.
About the role: As Parks Advisor, you will be the face of the Council Community Parks Maintenance Team and will perform a pivotal role in ensuring the levels of service provided are fit for purpose for the enjoyment and use of our communities. You will be responsible for:
Fielding all manner of maintenance requests for service relating to the upkeep development and usage activities of city parks and assets Delegating your area requests to Council's team of parks and gardens maintenance officers, rangers and contractors Ensuring the right jobs are sent to the right person at the right time Efficiently and effectively managing the unscheduled work programme to ensure that maintenance services are managed in a sustainable manner Completing daily recording of tasks, completion of maintenance requests and hazard identification/risk assessment documentation About you: We are looking for an outgoing, high achiever who is ready to continue to demonstrate their leadership capability. With all of this comes the capability to remain rational and impartial. You will also:

Additional recruitment information: Hours of Work: Fulltime Permanent Position: 37.5 - 40 hours per week.
Location: This position is primarily based at 53 Hereford Street. Christchurch
Salary:  The salary band for this position goes from $78,464 per annum. to $87,182 per annum based on a 40-hour working week. Starting salaries will be based on knowledge, skills and experience the successful candidate brings to the role, and relativities both, within the immediate team and in the broader organisation for the same or similar roles.
