Napier City Council is seeking level-headed and resilient team players to join the parking team and enforce parking requirements in accordance with relevant legislation. This role requires a switched-on individual who is able to deal with members of the public in a calm and professional manner. A good level of fitness is required as you will be required to walk for significant periods. We are looking for someone who has: The ability to interpret and enforce traffic regulation, bylaws and policies in a firm, fair and positive manner. A high standard of personal presentation. The ability to relate to a wide variety of people in a professional manner. Able to handle tense, difficult or confrontational situations with tact and diplomacy. A methodical and practical approach to duties. Able to exercise mature judgement. A full clean NZ driving licence. You may be required to work some late nights and public holidays on a rostered basis, so some flexibility in work hours is required. We will be interviewing applications as we receive them and may close the role when we have found the right person.
