Nurture Taranaki is a long-term home-based parenting programme for whanau who may experience challenges in life.
The programme works with those who are pregnant with their first child and continues alongside them for up to 5 years.
Nurture Taranaki educates, enables, and supports whanau to provide their children with a positive and enjoyable childhood.
The programme is evidence-based, incorporating first 1000 days neuroscience.
Whanau participate on a voluntary basis.Our Team is seeking a part-time (24 hrs per week) Parenting Coach / Kaiawhina.
Following a comprehensive orientation, you will work alongside a specified number of client families primarily in their homes in a planned and focused way.
You will do this in a professional, sensitive, and culturally appropriate manner.Qualifications and Experience: Qualifications and/or experience in the following disciplines: Health, Education, Social Services, is preferred, or current study towards achievement in this.Ideally, you will have a sound understanding of child safety, health, and development, knowledge of safe parenting practices, and experience in working with children and families in a community setting.
A passion for "early intervention" and a desire to form trusting, positive, and respectful working partnerships with vulnerable families is essential.An individual employment agreement is offered.
A current full NZ driving license is essential.
