Painting Worker

UNIC PAINTERS LIMITED T/A UNIC PAINTERS, is in Auckland.
We are now looking for a painting worker to join us.
This is a full-time role requiring at least 30 hours per week.
This role involves applying paint and other finishes to protect, maintain, and decorate the surfaces of buildings and structures.
Tasks include: •       Read blueprints/instructions and examine surfaces to determine the kind and amount of work necessary  •       Make on-site preparations such as building scaffolding, covering fixtures etc.
•       Prepare walls and other surfaces for painting by scraping, using sandpaper, removing old paint etc.  •       Fill cracks and holes with appropriate material (e.g.
plaster)  •       Mix paint and other materials to prepare the right colour or texture  •       Paint surfaces according to instructions with various tools  •       Apply varnish and other finishes  •       Take and adhere to all health and safety precautions  •       Any other duties the employer reasonably may require the employee to perform  The successful candidate must have · At least one year, ideally three years of relevant experience or a relevant qualification (equivalent to NZ L4 Certificate).
· Good work attitude and good communication skills · Strong motivation · Physical fitness and could handle the heavy workload · Quality workmanship and eye for detail · Strong dedication to health and workplace safety · Excellent interpersonal skills to work with other team members.
· Strong ability to work independently
