About The Role Our client is looking for an experienced Paint Supervisor to join their team in Mt Maunganui. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, the ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of industry paint products and a solid background in quality control and surface preparation. This role involves overseeing the entire painting process, from material planning and ordering to application, while ensuring high-quality standards are consistently met. Occasional weekend work may be required to meet project deadlines.
Key Responsibilities Supervising and managing paint operations, ensuring the highest standards are achieved.
Applying knowledge of industrial paint products and their uses.
Operating equipment such as gantry cranes, forklifts, and combi lifts (experience is a plus).
Conducting quality control checks, including DFT (Dry Film Thickness) readings.
Interpreting paint specifications, calculating surface areas, and managing paint inventory orders.
Collaborating effectively with the team, providing leadership and support to meet project objectives.
Qualifications At least 5 years of experience in the paint industry.
Comprehensive understanding of paint products and their industrial applications.
Proven experience in quality control and interpreting paint specifications.
Licensed ability to operate machinery, such as gantry cranes, forklifts, and combi lifts (preferred but not essential).
Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
