Details of the offer

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Painter to join our team. This role requires a professional tradesperson who will execute high-quality painting projects while adhering to contract specifications and deadlines. The ideal candidate must have 3 years experience in painting and will demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of painting techniques, tool /materials knowledge, and industry standards.
Skill Requirements:

Set up work areas safely, including erecting scaffolding, placing ladders, and installing drop sheets to protect adjacent surfaces
Prepare surfaces by removing old paint and wallpaper, stripping timber, sanding, fixing woodwork, filling holes/cracks, and sealing surfaces
Mix and prepare paints to required colors, including pigments, oils, and additive
Apply various products including water-based paints, oil-based paints, and varnishes using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment
Hang wallpaper, match patterns, and trim edges
Perform minor repairs including window maintenance, glass replacement, and tile work
Maintain clean equipment and work areas in compliance with Health & Safety regulations
Demonstrate competency in all painting procedures with previous industry experience required

Positions are currently available across multiple regions of New Zealand, including Northland, Auckland, Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Gisborne, Hawkes Bay, Taranaki, Manawatu-Whanganui, Wellington, Tasman, Nelson, Marlborough, West Coast, Canterbury, Otago, and Southland. Workers may be required to travel between these locations as operational needs arise. The employer will cover all necessary travel expenses and accommodation when relocation is required. However, if a worker chooses not to relocate when requested, they will remain in their current location.
