Our Maintenance team is a key factor in ensuring guests have a comfortable room to go back to after a day of exploring the unique outdoor environment or to simply relax in a peaceful and beautiful part of the world.
We are looking for a Painter to help maintain the interiors and exteriors throughout our 250 guest rooms in the Hermitage complex, along with our 150 staff accommodation rooms, as well as the surrounding support buildings and grounds.
This is a varied and fast-paced role with a mix of proactive and reactive work, in a fun and enthusiastic team, and a location like no other.
What you will be doing
Internal & external painting, completing to a high-quality finish across hotel, lodge, motels, and staff accommodations to meet hotel standards.
Applying your knowledge of different paints, solvents, adhesives, as well as different types of wall hanging papers and vinyl to ensure the best results are delivered for interiors and exteriors.
Operating and maintaining all tools and machinery as outlined in department SOPs.
Planning and prioritizing jobs to ensure time limits are met.
Ensuring a high standard of health, safety, and hygiene is maintained.
Carrying out any other general maintenance duties as directed.
What you will bring to the role
Experience as a professional painter in commercial or residential property.
Prior experience in property maintenance is desired.
A confident and safe driver, you hold a full clean NZ Driver's license or international equivalent.
A can-do attitude and a willingness to learn.
Friendly, outgoing, and professional, with excellent communication skills.
Flexible, adaptable, and able to prioritize.
A strong desire to strive for excellence.
The role and benefits
Full-time, permanent position, minimum 80 hours per fortnight.
Pay range is $29.00 - $35.00 depending on qualifications and experience.
