Painter

Position: Painter Job details Employee must: ·         Read blueprints/instructions and examine surfaces to determine the kind and amount of work necessary ·         Make on-site preparations such as building scaffolding and ladders, covering fixtures etc. ·         Prepare walls and other surfaces for painting by removing old paint and wall paper, fixing holes and cracks, smoothing and sealing, etc. ·         Mix paint and other materials to prepare the right color or texture ·         Paint surfaces according to instructions with various tools ·         Apply varnish and other finishes ·         Match paint samples for touch up ·         Hanging wallpaper when required, trimming edges ·         Cleaning equipment and work area ·         Take and adhere to all health and safety precautions ·         Any other duties the employer reasonably may require employee to perform Pay rate: minimum $29.66 / hour   -    maximum $32.00/ hour Guaranteed hours of work per week:  minimum 30 hours Requirements for the job: ·         At least 3 years work experience is required ·         Be physically fit ·         NZ Full Driver License ·         Full time availability, may work during weekends ·         No criminal record ·         Candidates need to be NZ citizens/residents
