Retail Assistants (Retail & Consumer Products) Guthrie Bowron Tauranga is a specialist in home decorating focused on delivering exceptional service, expert technical advice and a one stop shop experience for all our customers.We are looking for a forward-thinking proactive individual with proven skills to take charge of our paint section. The role will include showroom sales and all aspects of a retail store, providing service to both our retail and trade customers. While primarily in store the role will include engaging with and calling on trade painters to assess their needs and identify opportunities to grow our business.The successful candidate will have the ability to provide a total painting & decorating solution encompassing additional sundries and preparation products, and to build this part of the business in tandem with paint sales.A strong ability to communicate effectively and understand the customers' needs with enthusiasm and energy are essential.The role includes heavy lifting of up to 20 litre pails of paint.This is a fulltime role, 7am – 3pm Monday to Friday and alternate Saturdays 9am-2pm.About you:You have prior experience with a wide range of paint and specialized coating products or related fields, Dulux brand experience would be preferredYou enjoy customer service and can confidently take the lead with problem solving, finding customer solutions and promoting new productsYou know your way around a computer and can learn complex point of sale processesYou have high attention to detail and work carefully & accuratelyYou have strong interpersonal and relationship building skills to work with our customers and with the knowledgeable team that works alongside youYou must be able to carry out the manual handling requirements of the roleYou must hold a full NZ drivers licenseIf you are ready for a new adventure and believe you will be a great addition to our team, then please get in touch.
