Paediatric Radiologist with subspecialty interest in Paediatric Neuroradiology. Candidates with general paediatric intervention skills are also invited to apply.Unique opportunity to work at the leading provider of paediatric radiology care in New Zealand and the South Pacific.1.26 FTE, Permanent full-time role available, expected start date December 2024 (or soon after).In this position, you will provide a diagnostic reporting service for all modalities in the Paediatric Radiology Department and provide subspecialty expertise in Paediatric Neuroradiology.
There are opportunities to participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings across all the subspecialty services, including Neurology, Neurosurgery, Metabolic and Neuro-oncology. On-call requirements are approximately 1:10 weeks.
The position is a permanent full-time (1.26 FTE). You will be responsible for issuing reports, supervising registrars and teaching, liaising with other services, providing opinions and reporting on external imaging, supervising sonographers, and working closely with radiographers.
Important Skills As the ideal candidate, you will be a qualified Paediatric Radiologist with Fellowship Training, preferably including Neuroradiology. You should have clinical experience in all aspects of general paediatric radiology including conventional radiographs, fluoroscopic procedures, ultrasound, CT, and MR. You will need to work as part of a small, but collaborative inter and intra-disciplinary team. You will have or be eligible to apply for vocational registration and Annual Practising Certificate with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
