Job Title: Paediatric RadiologistLocation: Te Whatu Ora Te Toka Tumai Auckland
Position Type: Permanent full-time (1.26 FTE), expected start date December 2024 (or soon after).
The Opportunity: In this position, you will provide a diagnostic reporting service for all modalities in the Paediatric Radiology Department and provide subspecialty expertise in Paediatric Neuroradiology. There are opportunities to participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings across all subspecialty services, including Neurology, Neurosurgery, Metabolic, and Neuro-oncology. On-call requirements are approximately 1:10 weeks.
Responsibilities: Issuing reports and providing opinions on external imaging.Supervising registrars and teaching.Liaising with other services.Supervising sonographers and working closely with radiographers.Important Skills: The ideal candidate will be a qualified Paediatric Radiologist with Fellowship Training, preferably including Neuroradiology. You should have clinical experience in all aspects of general paediatric radiology including conventional radiographs, fluoroscopic procedures, ultrasound, CT, and MR. You will need to work as part of a small, collaborative inter and intra-disciplinary team. You will have or be eligible to apply for vocational registration and an Annual Practising Certificate with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
