This is a permanent position. Full-time positions (minimum 40 hours a week guaranteed) are available.$58,000 to $63000 p/a for full-time roles.Hiring now to train for a peak summer season.The ideal candidate is a highly experienced Instructor, is well-presented with a friendly manner and has excellent team management skills.A current COC and OSH registration with Medical Clearance is a prerequisite to employment.Key requirements for this role are:Job details (Description):Responsibility for initial and continuing point of contact with customers, safe and responsible guiding and dive practice, teaching PADI dive courses in a safe and responsible manner, processing in the morning, preparing shop for opening and closing, general shop duties, retail sales, bookings, filling tanks, hiring gear out, boat crew duties, shop, specific boat and shore based maintenance, plus any activities that may be identified by management, at all times ensuring a quality product is delivered with respect to company quality of experience and hospitality (manaakitanga).Working hours will vary with different courses, roster and vessel.Specific Performance CriteriaFollow PADI standards, and industry best practice.Assist with customer check-in and equipment hire.Assist in loading of boat.Welcome customers.Show ability in conducted general Poor Knights Islands briefing, Twin Wrecks, and any specific briefings appropriate to the day's activities.Assist clients with equipment, water entry and exit.Show ability to undertake minor repairs to diving equipment as necessary.Maintain a neat and tidy boat at all times, assist in stowing of dive gear after dives.Assist with unloading of the boat.Where possible and practicable during the working day, take photos both underwater and above water of customers and activities undertaken during the course of the day.Understand the use of social media and participate in it where required.Assist with maintenance and cleaning of the boat as per Operations Manual.Knowledge of completion of Incident/Accident report forms for any incidents.Where required in regards to Training:Ensuring training materials are available for students.Ensure student paperwork is correctly completed and sent to PADI.Schedule medicals for Open Water studentsKnowledge of completion of Incident/Accident report forms for any incidents.
