Packhouse Forklift Operators – 2025 Season –Become a key member of our Onion Packhouse team.Apatu Farms is a family-owned Hawkes Bay agribusiness focused on growing quality produce for prominent local and global customers.We are looking for experienced forklift operators to join our Onion Packhouse team for the 2025 season we have immediate starts available through to end of June/July 2025.About the role:As forklift operator you will support the wider team by ensuring that our onions make it from field bins to the packaged product loadout safely and efficiently .The other key bits:We have a great team environment (with many of our team returning for multiple seasons!
)Competitive remuneration according to experience.About you:You will hold a current OSH forklift certificateBe able to demonstrate their skills in stacking empty bins 9 bins high and full bins up to 6 high and have experience loading and unloading trucksBe able to work for the full season and flexible with work hours (up to 6 days of the week, Mon-Sat with up to 12 hour days during the busy harvesting season).Be physically fit with a positive can-do attitudeHave good communication & interpersonal skillsYou'll be willing to get stuck in, be a team player and achieve high-quality results.Committed to a safe and healthy workplace, and able to pass a pre-employment and random drug testing.Applicants also need to have entitlement to work in New Zealand.
