Packhouse Day Shift Manager

First-Line Supervisors and Manager/Supervisors - Horticultural Workers Key Responsibilities: Lead the packhouse day shift in our expanding business. Oversee the operation of the packhouse during Day Shift to maximise performance of the team. Focus on people leadership of a team of 100 staff. Manage recruitment, training, performance and build a positive workplace culture. Manage production to meet quality standards, fruit volume targets and market packing requirements. Ensure safety and other operating procedures are followed. About Rockit: We're a New Zealand company taking the nutritious goodness of our unique miniature apples to the world. Skills You Need: Sound experience and high level of skill managing a large and diverse team. Experience in food production, manufacturing or similar operation. Able to problem solve and demonstrate good judgement. Understanding of the commercial drivers of production performance. Reporting, SOP writing and IT capability. This is a permanent position. The packing season starts mid-late February and goes through to October/November. Day Shift operates Monday to Saturday 6.00am to 4.00pm. Monday - Friday hours are worked in the off-season.
