Kia Angitu | Learner Success Programme / Pacific Knowledge & Culture Hub: Pacific Development Team Located in Otautahi | Christchurch, Aotearoa | New Zealand Full-time 37.5 hours per week (1.0 FTE) 1 year fixed-term position Au Mahi | What You Will Do The role of Pacific Learner Success Coordinator is to support the strategic initiatives to enhance the retention, achievement and completion rates of Pacific students at Te Whare Wananga o Waitaha | The University of Canterbury.
The Pacific Learner Success Coordinator will provide an important role in supporting the successful Takere Academy Programme for Maori and Pacific students.
The role also will support Kia Angitu projects and the Pacific Development Team, focusing on raising Pacific student success at UC.
Mou | Who You Are At least 2 - 3 years' experience in related work including: Ability to effectively engage and support Year 1 Pacific & Maori tertiary students Ability to work with Pacific communities in a culturally responsive way.
Excellent organisational skills including the ability to cope with competing demands.
Active commitment to upholding Pacific values, the PAKC vision and the UC Pacific Strategy.
Competency in Pacific language/s is an advantage.
High competency in a range of administrative tasks with accuracy Mahi Ngatahi | Who You Will Work With Under the leadership of the Programme Director of Learner Success, the role will report to the Director, Pacific Development and the Takere Programme Lead.
The Pacific Learner Success Coordinator will join dynamic teams dedicated to offering comprehensive support, opportunities, programs, and events for UC students, while also contributing to initiatives benefiting UC staff and the broader community.
