Job DescriptionThe Pacific Area Human Resources Department for the Church is seeking to appoint an Area Human Resource Operations Manager.
This is a permanent full-time position located in the Pacific Area Office, Auckland, New Zealand, and the successful candidate will be required to work from this location.
You will be reporting to the Area Human Resource Manager.
This senior HR leadership role involves full people management responsibilities over a team of HR Generalists, supporting core HR operations for the Pacific Area while delivering exceptional customer service.
Demonstrate and possess expert knowledge, address complex issues, and engage in frequent collaboration with the workforce and key stakeholders across the organisation.

ResponsibilitiesLead and build capability of the Area HR Operations TeamShape and improve HR processes, policies, and systemsWork closely with stakeholders and foster strong relationshipsAssist with area-wide projectsProvide support for escalated HR needs/incidentsManage and deliver essential human resource activities across multiple countries in the Pacific, including onboarding and offboarding of employees, workforce communications, operations and compliance, accurate data management, and legal workforce relationsHR Business Partner function - work closely with senior managers to provide HR expertise and support to business needsMay require travel within the Pacific Area as required by the EmployerQualificationsBachelor's degree and 8 years of professional experience, or equivalent education and experienceDeep human resource operational knowledge with familiarity in best HR practices and HRISKey skills: team leadership, relationship building, organisational skills, business consulting, customer service, employee coaching, and organisational change implementationEffective written and verbal communication, including influence and compromiseExperience in resolving employee relations issues and analysing dataPreferred: Master's degree, HR certification, and previous people management experiencePlease note: Only candidates who have legal work eligibility to hold employment in New Zealand should apply.
