This is mahi that will improve the health and well-being of everyone in Aotearoa, and we've got an opportunity for you to be part of it.Te whiwhinga mahi| The OpportunityThis role will be key in providing the support needed to manage governance-related activities and processes within the Office of the Chief People Officer.Some of the governance-related activities you will be supporting include:Leading the effective planning of agendas and secretariat supportOverseeing the governance and administrative tasks (including adherence to terms of reference, delegated authorities, and the management of conflicts of interest and procurement declarations) to ensure the relevant statutory, legislative and policy compliance obligations are metPreparing and distributing meeting documentation (i.e., agendas, minutes, supporting material) and invitations in a timely fashionCoordinating and facilitating meetingsManagement of forward work plans such as tracking of actions and ensuring high quality reporting and papers to support effective decision making.Document management and filing.The key skills and experience we are looking for include (but not limited to):Knowledgeable about governance policies and proceduresAbility to work autonomously and as part of a team.Communication effectiveness - demonstrates effective communication and interpersonal skills.Relationship effectiveness - demonstrates an ability to build rapport, being a good listener, and easy to approach and talk to.Planning, organising and attention to detail - demonstrates an ability to plan, prioritise, and deliver work on time, and to required standards across the breadth of the role. Is well organised, able to complete tasks on time, and has a good eye for detail.Administration - demonstrates familiarity with secretariat and office management procedures required to process administration.Continuous improvement and initiative- demonstrate initiative, and an agile2 approach to finding improved ways forward.Dealing with ambiguity - demonstrates an ability and willingness to effectively work during times of uncertainty and change.Proficient in desktop applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel.Pae Ora & Te Tiriti o Waitangi - demonstrates an understanding of Pae Ora (Healthy Futures) Act 2022, the significance, and obligations of Te Tiriti o Waitangi, including how to give effect to these expectations in a meaningful way, and the commitments to equity and priorities of Wai2575. Have an appreciation of cross-cultural matters, including knowledge of tikanga Maori (or a willingness to learn).A commitment to being a good Te Tiriti partner in all your actions.
