Job summary The Outpatients Department is an exciting place to work in and for many patient's the 'window of the hospital'. We look after approximately 200,000 patients per annum and aim to provide an excellent and caring service at all times. It is a friendly environment with the administrators providing clerical support to our clinical colleagues. The department operates between the hours of and and staff work on a rotational shift basis.This will be a varied role in providing support to the Operational and Assistant Operational Manager when needed and working closely with all the admin and clinical staff to ensure the smooth running of the department.Base Location: Christchurch HospitalInterview Date: TBC Main duties of the job To understand the role in more detail please read the full job description and person specification documents which are attached to this advert. Person Specification Qualifications Essential Relevant degree level qualification or equivalent level of experience Relevant formal NHS leadership courses or equivalent experience Skills Essential Ability to communicate business sensitive information, providing receiving and collating complex information, relevant to managerial and administrative skills. Ability to prioritise, deal with conflicting demands, pressures and tight deadlines Demonstrate good leadership skills and able to lead by example Excellent communication skills both verbal and written Technical Skills/ Knowledge Essential Understanding of the Trust's vision, values and strategic objectives Good knowledge of managerial; best practice Strong attention to detail and accuracy Able to communicate effectively and professionally with patients staff and colleagues at all times Knowledge of managerial and administrative procedures and practices Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft packages including Word/Excel/Outlook/PowerPoint
