Green by Nature (formerly Recreational Services) is proud to be the Ruapehu District Council's chosen service provider, entrusted with maintaining the beauty of the region's parks, playgrounds, and public spaces.
Inspired by the region's natural beauty and the Council's forward-thinking vision for the future, we are now looking for a reliable individual to join our newest team as an Outdoor Cleaner Operator responsible for rubbish and facilities based in Ohakune.
What does an Outdoor Cleaner Operator do you ask?
First and foremost, you'll have the opportunity to work in some of the region's most picturesque locations.
The catch?
You'll be responsible for the scheduled cleaning of public facilities, including bathrooms, barbecue areas, bus stops and ensuring that essential supplies like toilet paper are replenished.
Additionally, you will oversee the collection and maintenance of roadside bins within the main township and surrounding areas.
When needed, you'll also support the wider team on larger projects.
This is a vital role to our team, one that is highly visible to the public and key to maintaining the functionality of the district's amenities.
This role is full-time (40 hours per week) working Saturday to Wednesday where you will be compensated with the living wage.
Who We Are Looking For Ideally, we would love someone who has had experience in a similar role, however, this is not a must.
As long as you are a hard worker, with a desire to make our community a desired space then you would be a perfect candidate.
Other success factors include: A clean and current full drivers' licence with the ability to drive a manual.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills and be able to interact with the public when required.
A passion for contributing positively to the community and a desire to be an ambassador for the RDC.
