Out of School Care Supervisor (part time) YMCA Taranaki Posted: 01 Sep 2022 Location: New Plymouth Work Type: Part Time Classification: Education The Y Taranaki currently provides before and after school care services in New Plymouth, based at local primary schools and at YMCA Taranaki's venue. These services provide safe and enjoyable care for children before and after school.
We currently have a permanent position for an Out of School Care Supervisor for 12.5-15 hours per week Monday to Friday, during term time and during holiday programmes. The rostered hours will vary between 7.30 am to 8.30 am for before school care services, 2.30 pm to 5:30 pm for after school care services and 7.30 am to 5.30 pm (school holidays) for holiday programme services.
Out of School Care Supervisor - the successful applicants will have the following attributes: Experience working with children Ability to cope with pressure and think on your feet Is positive and has the ability to work constructively as part of a team as well as independently Ability to use initiative and build relationships with families Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to actively engage children in activities and play Has a genuine passion, commitment and energy for a child centered role. Ability to work flexibly in accordance to the needs of the role. A commitment to the welfare of the child as a priority in the work and decision making. Good personal presentation and reliable transport.
