OurVets St Albans & Parklands - Companion Animal Veterinarian - Christchurch Organisation/clinic/s: OurVets St Albans & Parklands Position type: Companion Animal Veterinarian Small animal veterinarian opportunity at OurVets St Albans & Parklands - Christchurch, New Zealand.
At OurVets, you'll be part of a close-knit team.
Your role will encompass a balanced mix of consults and surgery, working alongside our experienced veterinarians and veterinary nurses.
Our clinic is well-equipped to support areas of special interest, and you'll enjoy a varied caseload.

There are no regular afterhours or on-call duties, with a backup roster covering approximately 3-4 times per year.
Only 1:4 Saturdays and no public holiday shifts.

Dynamic clinic: Combined team of six veterinarians (including you) with a strong veterinarian:veterinary nurse ratio.
Promotion of veterinary excellence: Our primary focus is on preventative medicine through our "Best for Pet" membership program.
Equipped with in-house laboratory, digital x-ray, quality ultrasound, and emergency and critical care equipment for managing complex clinical cases.
Community engagement: We collaborate closely with local referral practices, fostering a supportive network.
Flexible working environment: With a larger team, we offer flexible working arrangements, no public holiday shifts, and minimal on-call duties.
Looking for you: BVSc qualified (or equivalent) and registered, eligible to practice in New Zealand.
2+ years of experience, comfortable with routine surgery and consultations.
