ENT Surgeon Te Whatu Ora Tairawhiti Salary: ASMS SECA 1 September 2023 – 31 August 2024 ($185,380 - $267,980) Patient focused care, and making a difference in the community!
Friendly and professional team Option for Permanent or One Year Fixed term – 1.0 FTE Mo te turanga | About the role We are looking for an experienced Otolaryngologist who is a transformational leader; providing clinical expertise to deliver quality care for our region.
The successful candidate will be part of a team of three Otolaryngologists who are working collaboratively to provide high quality care and to improve equity and health outcomes for the Maori and Pasifika populations.
The team is supported by a Clinical Nurse Specialist and Audiologist.
You will see the full range of patients in this role and perform a variety of procedures such as endoscopic sinus surgery, middle ear surgery, facial skin cancer surgery and paediatric ENT procedures.
In this role, you will assist with the education and supervision of surgical staff and medical students.
There are ample opportunities to develop subspecialist interests that will complement the department's current service, with high levels of community unmet need.
The department is well equipped for all aspects of modern ENT health care.

You must have completed your specialist training to make you eligible for registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
