Mo te turanga - About the role
You'll be part of a team providing a full range of specialist acute and elective surgery to patients, providing comprehensive elective general Orthopaedic services, as well as 24-hour Orthopaedic Trauma and Orthopaedic Emergency care.
The scope of your work will be varied and will include exposure to a range of subspecialties including the following:
Trauma surgery
Foot and Ankle Surgery
Joint replacement
Sports Medicine
Orthopaedic Surgery
Spinal surgery
Occupational Medicine
Paediatric Orthopaedics
Upper Limb Surgery
Scoliosis surgery

Mou ake - About you
Our ideal candidate will have the following:
Registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand or be eligible for general or provisional general registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
A minimum of two years post qualification and possess a strong interest in progressing their Orthopaedic careers and be keen to become a participating member of the team.
It is a requirement of the Medical Council of New Zealand that your qualifications are approved through EPIC. If you have a commitment to working in New Zealand, it is highly recommended that you start this process as soon as possible to allow your subsequent registration to be undertaken in a timely fashion.

This role is covered by the terms and conditions of New Zealand Resident Doctors Association and 20 DHB Multi Employer Collective 18 June 2024 - 31 July 2026 (NZRDA SECA) and Specialty Trainees of New Zealand and 20 District Health Boards Multi Employer Collective Agreement 14 February 2024 - 28 February 2026 (the STONZ SECA) and the salary will fall between $160,955 - $240,440 dependent on relevant experience.
