Job Description About the Role The Organics Product Specialist is to spearhead the growth of the organics processing capacity business in New Zealand.
This position is responsible for the organics market analysist and the identification and development of both input and output products to the processing plants.
You will be crafting innovative solutions for customers to manage their needs for sustainable organics waste solutions.
This role requires a deep understanding of all organic waste legislative requirements, sources, and available processing technologies. Identify and establish relationships with key stakeholders in the organic industry including WMNZ Commercial and municipal teams.
Conduct market research to understand available organics waste streams, competitor processing offerings and available processing solutions.
Work with WMNZ commercial and municipal teams to educate their customers on the available sustainable processing solutions.
Develop and execute the Nationals organics strategies to grow the organics processing capacity within the Circular Services division.
Manage, lead, coordinate and deliver presentations, Assist with tenders and all new organics feedstocks.
Educate the market on acceptable organics feedstocks and the production of high-quality soil conditioners, compost and mulch.
Participate in training to obtain the appropriate skills and experience to perform the role safely and competently Participate in processes regarding risk management compliance and internal controls to ensure operations and legal HSEQ risks are effectively managed and minimised.
Qualifications Who are you?
As an ideal candidate you will have: Microbiology science or Environmental degrees or similar Creative thinker with the ability to develop innovative strategies to provide sustainable processing solutions.
Proven knowledge or experience in the operation of treatment of compost processing facilities or similar Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and draw actionable insights.
Experience with stakeholder engagement and influence at senior levels in multi-party decision-making exploiting individual value drivers.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of sustainability, resource recovery, or waste services.
Willingness to travel nationally as required.
