An opportunity has arisen for an experienced small animal veterinarian to join our team at the Orewa Beach Veterinary Clinic in an amazing location. Orewa and the surrounding Hibiscus Coast provides a lifestyle like no other. For those wanting a relaxed beachside lifestyle we are surrounded by stunning coastline, regional parks and numerous local cafes and restaurants. While for those still wanting the excitement of the city, we are a short drive to everything that New Zealand's biggest city has to offer.
About us: For over 20 years Orewa Beach Veterinary Clinic has been serving the local community by providing quality care and has developed a loyal and dedicated client base.We are a team of three veterinarians who are supported by a team of skilled veterinary nurses and a practice manager. We value a friendly, supportive, caring work environment and always ensure we have a few laughs along the way. The clinic caseload is varied with a mix of routine and weird and wonderful cases!The veterinarians have clinical freedom to work up their own cases but always collaborate and support each other with more difficult cases. Areas of special interest are welcomed and supported. We strive to maintain and provide a gold standard service to our clients and patients and are always looking to learn and improve what we can.Our spacious, purpose fitted clinic has been recently refurbished and is well equipped with ultrasound, digital x-ray, digital dental x-ray, IDEXX in-house diagnostic suite, multiparameter monitoring unit, tonometry and more.About you: We are looking for an experienced, passionate, friendly, and dedicated team player who prides themselves on integrity, compassion and communication.You will have at least five years small animal experience, confident in both consults and surgery and happy with some sole charge (1:3 Saturday mornings).BVSc (or equivalent) and be registered, or eligible to register to practice in New Zealand.What we can offer: A supportive team culture.An excellent work-life balance with a 4-day week, no afterhours, 1:3 Saturday mornings and no public holidays.Generous annual CPD allowance, paid study leave, and free access to our very own Veterinary Training Centre.Great staff benefits including paid parental leave, staff discounts and more.
