Orderly (Nightshift) | Burwood at Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand Waitaha Canterbury, Christchurch Start Date - As soon as possible Business Hours - Nightshift 2230 to 0630 Fri, Sat, Sun and Monday Shifts - This position is a 0.8 FTE (32 hours per week) Status - Permanent part-time Location - Burwood Hospital Salary - Starting from $23.75 per hour plus penal rates.
Based on the E tu Service and Food Workers collective agreement.
Mo te tunga - About the Role Orderlies play an integral part in the patient journey, ensuring the delivery of exceptional quality care in our facilities.
They are there to safely move patients and equipment around the hospital.
Our team provides essential orderly services within Burwood Hospital seven days a week, 24 hours a day.
We are looking for people that have great customer service skills and can relate to a range of people.
To be considered for this role, you will need to be physically fit to be able to work on your feet for your entire shift as well as being able to move patients around the hospital with ease and professionalism.
You will be responsible for: Providing a safe, quality support service to inpatient areas and departments.
Ensuring the prompt delivery and accurate storage of hospital equipment.
Prioritizing tasks effectively and efficiently without unnecessary delay.
Maintaining an enthusiastic and people-focused approach to your work.
Exhibiting excellent customer service skills and working in an inclusive team environment.
Being physically fit to handle the demands of the role.
Pitching in to ensure all tasks are completed.
