Apata offers Orchard Management for kiwifruit growers through our Apata GROW team, specializing in providing on-orchard and technical services to maximize their crop's performance.About the roleWe have an exciting opportunity for two experienced Orchard Supervisors to join our team in Katikati, Bay of Plenty. This is a full-time role based in Katikati, working across sites between Tauranga - Athenree. You will be working alongside an experienced Orchard Management team to ensure we get the job done and we get it done right.As Orchard Supervisor, your key focus will be to supervise and train orchard teams in their day-to-day duties, effectively plan tasks with your orchard manager, carry out orchard maintenance where required, and motivate and supervise orchard teams in the field to achieve quality results.In addition to this, you will ensure that all Health & Safety and compliance requirements are met, ensuring all our seasonal requirements are facilitated to the highest possible standard.What we're looking forExtensive experience (min 2+ years) in a horticulture or orchard supervisory roleA keen interest in kiwifruit and learning all on-orchard tasksExcellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a teamGood problem-solving and decision-making abilitiesExcellent time management and organizational skillsA good level of physical fitness and able to work outdoorsStrong initiative to work unsupervised at timesFlexibility to work sometimes long hours including weekendsRelevant qualifications in horticulture or a related field would be an advantageWhat we offerCompetitive remunerationOpportunities for career advancement and professional developmentComprehensive health and wellness benefits packageSupportive and collaborative work environmentYou must hold a valid driver's license & must be legally able to work in NZ.Apply now to join our dynamic team and be a part of our exciting future.
